Belgium to France - Dunkirk

A memorial has been built at the base of the tower to honour those from Dunkirk who died during the two world wars as well as the 1793 Siege of Dunkirk and Battle of Hondschoote during the Flanders campaign of the French Revolutionary Wars. At that time, British, Hanoverian, Austrian, and German soldiers under British command took over this fortified port city.
